Curtin Business School lecturer, Dr Tomayess Issa, has recently edited a new book about multicultural awareness in education entitled, Multicultural Awareness and Technology in Higher Education: Global Perspectives.

The book includes an array of international authors and editors that explore the influence of modern technology on teaching methods and outcomes. “This book will cover varied topics, such as the effects of international students’ exchange in higher education, teaching via technologies, teaching assessments, approaches, methods, and e-learning,” says Dr Issa.

Dr Issa notes that the book is incredibly relevant to teachers who want to improve their teaching methodologies and increase multicultural awareness in the classroom and to those who are studying education or who have an interest in international awareness.

“This book will assist the education sector, especially teachers, educational managers, strategy markers, international office managers, and master and PhD students,” says Dr Issa.

“It aims to support researchers and academics’ work, share the latest e-learning, technologies and teaching methods and exchange students’ approaches nationally and internationally in the higher education sector.”

As an editor, Dr Issa is proud she was given the opportunity to interact with many international researchers and academics in the field of information technology, multiculturalism and tertiary education.

Dr Issa says the book would assist her with her own research, as well as make a difference to many teachers, and local and international students.

“I will continue exploring teaching methods and styles to enhance students’ learning experiences and resolve problems they face.”
