Strange futures: collaborations that make nano-art (symposium) John Curtin Gallery

The John Curtin Gallery and the Centre for Research in Art, Science and Humanity (CRASH) invite you to a free symposium entitled  Strange futures: collaborations that make nano-art.

The artists and scientists in art in the age of nanotechnology speculate and explore the ‘nano world’ in an attempt to reconfigure our understanding of the physical and help make accessible concepts of what the future may hold.

Presenters include: Keynote address – Colin Milburn; Speakers –  Oron Catts, Boo Chapple, Mike Phillips, Paul Thomas, Christa Sommerer & Laurent Mignonneau, Mark Woffenden.

Venue: Bankwest Lecture Theatre, John Curtin Gallery, Curtin University of Technology

This symposium is part of the art in the age of technology exhibition on show in the John Curtin Gallery from Friday 5 February.

The John Curtin Gallery is open 12.00pm – 5.00pm Monday to Friday and the following Sundays between 1.00 – 4.00pm: 7, 14, 21, 28 February, 28 March, 18 April 2010.

Entry to the exhibition and symposium is free.
