About the topic

In February 2016, the Commonwealth Attorney-General announced an inquiry into laws and frameworks to safeguard older Australians from abuse. The inquiry is being undertaken by the Australian Law Reform Commission.

As President of the ALRC, Professor Croucher is leading the inquiry.

This event provides the opportunity for practitioners and other interested persons to hear from Professor Croucher regarding the scale of elder abuse in Australia, the scope and progress of the inquiry, the adequacy of existing legal responses and future developments.
