Go Learn

Created in China more than 4000 years ago, GO is regarded as one of the world’s most ancient art forms. For millennia, the game has been used to teach strategic thinking, used as a sophisticated form of entertainment and as a practice of serenity. More recently, GO serves as an excellent bridge between east and west and gives insight into the fascinating culture of China. Just like in life, experienced players look at the whole board instead of local fights; the goal is not always to win, but to play a quality game.

Come down to the marquee in Lower Henderson Court during the markets from 12.00pm – 2.00pm this Wednesday September 20 to learn the basic rules of the world’s most fascinating game – it takes minutes to learn and a lifetime to master. This activity is brought in partnership with the Makerspace Go Learn program and the Australia-China Youth Association.
