Orientation Week

This week we will be immersed in the festivity of Orientation Week! Whilst this is the week to prepare yourself with everything you need to know for the upcoming semester, there will also be various locations across campus hosting a wide range of O-week fun.

Henderson Village will showcase the Official Welcome, Welcome to Country and Smoke Ceremony, and live music. Lower Henderson will be a great place to chill out with old and new friends at its O-week exclusive long table. The 215 Croft will be pumping with music and full of old-school arcade games so be sure to head over for a friendly battle with your friends. If you’re a creative type, make sure you head over to Jolley Gardens so you don’t miss out on t-shirt screen printing, fringe goodness, a good read from the outdoor library, and a live DJ. If you’re feeling low on energy at any time, revitalise yourself at Atkinson Greens with a fresh juice or some yoga, or regain your energy instead by jumping right into one of the green living or cooking classes!

Cellopark Drive In

Cancel your Thursday night plans and get ready to drive your way ‘Back to the Future’. Because for one night only, CellOPark is turning Curtin University’s car park into a free Drive-In Movie Theatre. Hosted in the University’s A5 car park this Thursday the 23rd of February at 7pm. Spaces are limited so be sure to REGISTER YOUR SPACE to see BACK TO THE FUTURE on Thursday!

Disc Golf

Instead of a ball and club, grab your Frisbee disc and visit our course! Take the challenge, throw from a tee area to target an elevated metal basket. As you progress around the fairway, make each consecutive shot from the spot where the previous throw has landed – just like golf but more fun!  Head to the Stadium to grab yourself a scorecard.

Geocache

Navigate your way around campus to uncover secret geocaches. Interactive, fun and clever caches are hiding everywhere…some may be easy but others you may have to work a little harder for. Download the FREE geocaching app, sign up and start searching – who knows what you will find!

Hi Is it possible to speak to someone about the performers costs and contact details please? The Professionals @ Curtin group will be having an end of financial year function and we were thinking of seeing whether one of the performers used by Park’d Performers might be available to provide some light entertainment. Thanks!

    • Curtin University says:

Hi Leanne, the team from Big Sky Entertainment coordinate the performers who visit campus. Please contact Michelle Fornasier on 0437 380 038 or michelle@bigskyentertainment.com.au.
