The Curtin Law School is hosting the 35th Annual Australia and New Zealand Law and History Conference from Mon 5 to Tues 6 December 2016 in our City Building at 57 Murray Street. This is the first conference to be convened at the Law School since its foundation.

The conference theme is ‘The Transformation of British Law in Africa and the Asia Pacific’. The Vice Chancellor, Prof Deborah Terry, is opening the conference and the Chief Justice of Western Australia, Wayne Martin AC, is the first keynote speaker on the Monday morning. The other keynote speakers are Mr Ian Binnie CC QC, former puisne judge of the Supreme Court of Canada, and Professor Ann Curthoys, Honorary Associate of the University of Sydney.
