Fittingly, the event will be held at Edinburgh Oval, which is at the entry to Curtin University, Kent Street , Bentley.
Pipe Bands will compete in various grades, judged on musicianship, pitch and tuning, integration between the pipes and drum corps, plus dress and drill. There is also a Drum Major competition for artistry twirling the mace. At the end of the day, all bands will march onto the field playing together for the massed band finale and trophy presentation.
Tents around the competition field will include food and drink vendors, and a pop-up bar serving Scottish beers.
Come and watch the Battle of the Bagpipes from noon – 4pm on Saturday April 2.
