The conference, which has been running annually since 2010, is primarily organised by students as part of the Internet Communities and Social Networks (NET204) internet communications unit. The annual conference forms part of two sister conferences presented by Curtin University and the Charles Telfair Institute which address the various issues associated with online communities and social networks.
This year the conference has papers presented in five streams:

· Communities and Web 2.0
· Gaming and Online Communities
· Identity in Communities and Networks
· Indigenous People, Virtual Communities and Online Social Networks
