Seminar with Nature Senior Editor Ross Cloney

Posted on

Curtin will welcome Ross Cloney, Senior Editor at Nature International Journal of Science to the Bentley Campus on Wednesday 21 November, 9.30am to 11am at 312.222:FF (Applied Geology).

Event details

Using his own route across scientific disciplines and career paths, Ross will focus on areas of interest to students and postdoctoral research fellows (and maybe some more established group leaders too): What does it take to publish high impact science, with a focus on Nature Communications and its synthetic biology content, and what are your options if academia isn’t the right path for you but you still love the scientific field you are a part of?

Nature Seminar

Ross is a senior editor at Nature Communications, handling manuscripts in the fields of synthetic biology and genome engineering. In addition, he has been responsible for manuscripts in the areas of genome-wide association studies, molecular biology and therapeutic biotechnology. Before joining Nature Communications, his previous postdoctoral work focused on DNA damage and repair pathways including telomere maintenance and double-strand break repair. He can often be found tweeting about synthetic biology as @rosscloney.
