Curtin University in association with the WA AIDS Council presents STYLEAID once again, and we would like to invite you to attend the number one fashion fundraising event on the Perth social calendar.

Event details

Curtin University is proud to announce its continued sponsorship of STYLEAID, Perth’s premier fashion fundraising event supporting the WA AIDS Council and people affected by HIV/AIDS.

Friday 31 July 2015
7 pm to 12 am
Grand Ballroom, Crown Resort Perth
Black Tie $275 | VIP Experience $400

The theme for this year’s STYLEAID event has taken inspiration from the fashion and design revolution of the 1960’s. With reference to the mid 60’s Pop Art era, the classic 60’s paper dress, 60’s design icon, Mary Quant and The Dolly Bird the theme this year is GOGO!

750 guests will come together in the Crown Perth Grand Ballroom to regale with champagne, a specially designed three course dinner that will include Highgate wines, live entertainment, the memorable STYLEAID gift bag and the evening will commence with the STYLEAID fashion parade featuring the first group show of the upcoming Spring/Summer 2015/16 collections of some of the most talented designers both locally and internationally.

Fashion is all about being seen and being in the spotlight and we’re honoured to be part of the 18th annual fundraiser this year. So far the event has raised more than $1.2 million for the WA AIDS Council and has shed a light on a subject so often ignored.

The partnership with STYLEAID fits well with key areas of health education and research at Curtin, for which we are acknowledged as a national leader. Curtin is closely aligned with the WA AIDS Council through the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Collaboration for Evidence, Research and Impact in Public Health and the Department of Sexology.

STYLEAID 2015 dress designed by KelseyAsheIt also spotlights the high standard of education being delivered through the Faculty of Humanities. This year Curtin fashion design lecturer and graduate of the Bachelor of Arts (Textiles), Kelsey Ashe Giambazi’s talents will be very much in the spotlight having designed one of the dresses being auctioned. Many fashion students from Curtin will receive valuable experience by volunteering at the high-profile event.

This not-to-be missed event will take place on Friday 31 July at the Crown Perth. Tickets can be purchased online.

With special guest hosts, specially choreographed dance numbers and entertainment throughout the night, this is the must attend event to be seen at!

You can find out more about the designers, exhibition, auction and seating by visiting the website.

“The WA AIDS council, established in 1985, leads the Western Australian community in the provision of a wide range of services in the prevention of HIV, and the treatment and care of people living with HIV/AIDS”- this statement is from the WAAC website.
