About Martin Houston

Martin Houston had a distinguished career with BG Group plc and its predecessor companies, retiring after 32 years in February 2014 as Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors.

In December 2015, Martin co-founded Tellurian Investments Inc. with Charif Souki and together they are developing a 24mtpa LNG export project, Driftwood LNG, in Louisiana.

He is currently a non-executive director of international healthcare group BUPA and privately owned E&P company CCC Energy.  He is also the chairman of TPH International.

Martin is a council member of the National Petroleum Council of the United States, a fellow of the Geological Society of London and a member of the development committee of the Royal Opera House of London.

Martin holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from Newcastle University and a master’s degree in petroleum geology from Imperial College London.
