Long-time Curtin FM presenter and volunteer, Mr Brendon T Moylan, has been inducted into the Australian Country DJ Broadcaster’s Music Hall of Fame during the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Mr Moylan, who presents Curtin FM’s popular Saturday afternoon program ‘Born in Boots’, was inducted into the Country DJ Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame for his ongoing commitment and passion for the country music genre.

Mr Moylan said he was honoured to be recognised for his work within country music.

“I began this program with the intention of promoting country music to Perth audiences and hoping that my listeners would appreciate country music as much as I do,” Mr Moylan said.

“After 19 years on air, to receive this award and recognition from the Australian country music industry is an incredible honour and one for which I am very grateful and proud.

“A lot of hard work goes into the show every weekend and I couldn’t have achieved any of this without my wife and show producer, Janiece Moylan.”

In recent years, ‘Born in Boots’ has been voted the most popular country music program in Perth and one of the ten most popular country music programs in Australia.

Curtin FM Station Manager Quinn Glasson said it was a fantastic achievement for Mr Moylan and his show ‘Born in Boots’ to be recognised on a national scale.

“Mr Moylan brings character and passion to his show every weekend and he is now the second longest serving volunteer at Curtin FM,” Mr Glasson said.

“It is rewarding to see our volunteers being recognised for their efforts and we are always grateful for their long-term commitment to Curtin FM.”

Mr Moylan, along with the other country music award recipients, was inducted during the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January.
