Curtin has achieved five-star ratings across five categories in the 2020 Good Universities Guide.

The latest edition found Curtin was ranked in the top band of Australian universities for teaching quality, overall experience, learner engagement, learning resources and staff qualifications.

Curtin University Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said she was delighted that Curtin was leading the way across Western Australia and nationally in one or more measures in 17 of the 19 fields of study.

“The 2020 Good Universities Guide awarded Curtin the highest rating of five stars for the full-time employment rate of our graduates, the number of PhD-qualified staff, the median starting salary of our graduates and our students’ rating of their learning engagement experience,” Professor Terry said.

“It is particularly exciting to see Curtin topping the charts both within Western Australia and across the country for many fields of study, confirming our commitment to offering students a world-class education experience.”

Professor Terry said the Curtin Medical School was number one in Australia for teaching quality, learner engagement, learning resources and student support, as well as the top WA university for overall experience and skills development.

Curtin’s social work program was ranked the best in Australia for overall experience, teaching quality and skills development, while the oral health program achieved the number one national position for overall experience and learner engagement and the psychology program topped the nation for learning resources. Curtin’s science and mathematics field of study was ranked the best in Australia for starting salary.
