Curtin Singapore ranked first in graduate employment survey

Media release

Curtin Singapore has been ranked first for employability for the second year in a row in the latest Private Education Graduate Employment Survey released in Singapore.

In the 2017-18 survey, released by the Committee for Private Education in Singapore, Curtin achieved the highest full-time employment rate for private education institutions in Singapore with 60 per cent.

Curtin University Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said the result was testament to the dedication of staff and students at Curtin Singapore.

“This is the second year in a row that Curtin Singapore has been ranked first in this survey, demonstrating the strength of the employability of Curtin graduates,” Professor Terry said.

“Curtin’s full-time employment rate for new graduates was 60 per cent, well above the overall rate of 48.2 per cent for other private education institutions in Singapore.”

Curtin Singapore Pro-Vice Chancellor and President Professor Linley Lord said the latest survey assessed responses from 2,800 recent graduates across various larger private education providers in Singapore.

“The latest survey also shows Curtin Singapore graduates had the second highest median gross monthly salary of $3,000, which was also well above the median gross monthly salary for all graduates at $2,650,” Professor Lord said.

“Curtin Singapore is committed to equipping graduates with the skills they need to successfully navigate the workforce with an emphasis on excellence in teaching and learning as well as developing our industry links.”

Last year, Curtin Singapore celebrated its 10th anniversary following its official opening in 2008, after delivering programs there since 1986.
