Curtin Business School has cemented its place as a world-class institution by becoming the only business school in Western Australia with five-year accreditation by EQUIS, the leading international system of quality assessment.

This global best-practice recognition places Curtin Business School in the top one per cent approximately of business schools worldwide and makes it the only ‘triple-accredited’ business school in WA, having already achieved AACSB accreditation and an EFMD Accredited MBA.

Curtin University Faculty of Business and Law Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel de Bussy said the EQUIS accreditation provided an encouraging end to what had been a challenging 2020 and gave an injection of optimism for the future.

“EQUIS accreditation is the pleasing result of years of hard work and dedication to develop the highest quality and standards in every aspect of operations at Curtin Business School,” Professor de Bussy said.

“With the world facing unprecedented levels of uncertainty and disruption, students more than ever want iron-clad proof of program quality when planning their future, which our EQUIS accreditation now provides.

“This five-year accreditation helps Curtin Business School uphold and enhance its global reputation for industry connection and educational excellence and maintain its impeccable track record for preparing students for successful careers.”

The EQUIS accreditation adds to Curtin Business School’s impressive list of credentials, which include its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program being accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) since 2012.

The Curtin MBA is aimed primarily at middle and senior managers looking to enhance their careers and contribution to their organisation, and gain a broader understanding of the business environment.

In 2016 Curtin Business School was accredited by the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) for meeting strict standards of academic quality and professional excellence.
