The University has been advised by the WA Health Department that a Curtin student tested positive to COVID-19 on Saturday 15 January 2022.

The student was in Curtin Central Library facilities in buildings 103 on Friday 14 January from 12pm – 4pm.  Any members of the Curtin community who were in these buildings at this time must get tested immediately and isolate until you receive a negative result, unless directly advised otherwise by the Department of Health.  Please also contact covidconcern@curtin.edu.au so we can provide you with advice and support.

We have been advised the venues involved can remain open.

This case highlights the importance of following health advice and checking in using the SafeWA or ServicesWA apps.

Anyone in the Curtin community who experiences COVID-19 symptoms should be tested, and remain isolated until they receive a negative result.

All potential or confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Curtin community should be urgently referred to the Safer Community Team on 08 9266 4444.
