Curtin works with industry to provide hands on learning

Upholding its reputation as a leader in creating industry linkages, Curtin University of Technology’s Western Australian School of Mines has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the operators of Australia’s largest open pit gold mine, Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mine.

Part of this agreement provides three new $6,000 scholarships for WASM students completing a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

Educating the creators of tomorrow’s energy future

With massive growth predicted for WA’s oil and gas industry, the education of the next generation of petroleum engineers is vitally important.

To make sure that the demand for qualified workers is met, Curtin University of Technology and Woodside Energy are offering Woodside Petroleum Engineering Scholarships that include a total of $35,000 in cash payments, for undergraduate engineering students from 2010.
